Watch a hilarious parody trailer for 2012’s ‘Les Miserables’ movie!

With the BBC’s epic new adaptation of Les Miserables now airing, let’s revisit the 2012 movie.

Based on the hit stage musical, which was first performed in 1985, the film starred Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Eddie Redmayne.

The movie grossed over $441 million worldwide and received mostly positive reviews, but many critics and cinemagoers struggled with the producers’ decision to have every line of dialogue in the 158-minute film sung by the cast.

BBC One’s new Les Misérables mini-series is airing at 9pm on Sunday nights in the UK and begins on Masterpiece on PBS in the USA this spring.
