Action! 8 photos of ‘Downton Abbey’ cast reunited filming new movie

The Downton Abbey cast have been photographed back together.

With a script by Downton creator Julian Fellowes, the movie began filming in England last month.

Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary), Maggie Smith (Lady Violet), Hugh Bonneville (Lord Grantham), Elizabeth McGovern (Lady Crawley), Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore), Penelope Wilton (Isobel Crawley), Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith) and Harry Hadden-Paton (Bertie Pelham) were pictured shooting scenes involving some kind of military ceremony in Bath, Somerset last week.

It’s the first time the actors have been seen in their costumes since the TV series completed filming in 2015.

All the surviving original characters from the TV series are expected to return, with the exception of Lily James as Lady Rose.

New additions to the cast include Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter), Geraldine James (Anne with an E), Tuppence Middleton (The Imitation Game), Kate Phillips (Peaky Blinders), Stephen Campbell Moore (The History Boys) and David Haig (Killing Eve).

Elizabeth McGovern, who plays Lady Cora, recently assured fans that the script is “good – the fans will love it.”
