Watch a classic ‘Lark Rise to Candleford’ charity skit – featuring Terry Wogan!

We’ve just rediscovered a lovely little video that the Lark Rise to Candleford cast did in 2009.

Helping to raise money for the BBC’s annual Children in Need fundraiser, cast members including Olivia Hallinan and Ruby Bentall (Poldark) took part in a funny skit.

The clip features a charming appearance from a BBC broadcasting legend, the late Sir Terry Wogan.

Based on Flora Thompson’s trilogy of semi-autobiographical novels about the English countryside, Lark Rise to Candleford ran for four seasons on BBC One from 2008 to 2011.

The series starred Julia Sawalha (Absolutely Fabulous), Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey), and Linda Bassett (Call the Midwife).
