Watch the ‘Downton Abbey’ cast guess famous movies playing Charades!

Five stars of Downton Abbey recently took part in a fun game of Charades to promote the new movie.

The much-anticipated Downton sequel finally arrived in cinemas this spring and was released to watch at home last week.

To coincide with the release, the cast have all been working hard on the publicity trail.

Usually this means an endless slog of press interviews, answering the same questions again and again.

Fortunately some of the actors were given some time out to enjoy a fun game of Charades for Universal Pictures’ official YouTube channel!

Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Kevin Doyle, Lesley Nicol, Penelope Wilton all had a great time trying to guess the names of various famous movies.

We’ve got to hand it to them, they’re all pretty good at Charades!

Other promotional highlights from the cast include Mr Carson and Mrs Hughes stars Jim Carter and Phyllis Logan recapping all six seasons of the TV series in 6 minutes, and Mr Molesley actor Kevin Doyle catching us up on what happened in the first film.

Based on ITV’s hit period drama series, Downton Abbey: A New Era finds our beloved characters embarking on a lavish trip to the South of France in 1928, where they must uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa.
