When does ‘Grantchester’ Season 5 start on PBS Masterpiece in the US?
PBS has announced when American viewers can see the next season of Grantchester.
Based on James Runcie’s novels, ITV’s 1950s-set period drama series returned in the UK last month with six brand new episodes.
Outlander actor Tom Brittney is back as clergyman Will Davenport, following his introduction in the fourth season last year, alongside Robson Green (Soldier Soldier) as DI Geordie Keating.
Season 5 begins in the US at 9/8c on Sunday 14th June on Masterpiece on PBS.
Tom Brittney announced the news in a funny little video on Twitter:

The official synopsis reads: “Reverend Will Davenport is now fully at ease with his role as the Vicar of Grantchester, and happy helping to solve mysteries alongside his friend, Detective Inspector Geordie Keating.
“For Will, a version of Eden is within everyone’s reach, but Geordie knows that human nature is unpredictable, and every Eden has its snakes…”

The fifth season picks up in 1957; a year after the events of Season 4’s finale.
Former Grantchester star James Norton’s new 1930s movie Mr Jones is out later this year and he can also be seen in the new adaptation of Little Women in cinemas now.
Grantchester is available on DVD on Amazon.
