James Bond 25 casting news: Four returning characters confirmed

The first cast details have been revealed for the next 007 adventure.

The movie will see Daniel Craig return as the world’s most famous secret agent for a fifth time.

Following a number of delays, with original director Danny Boyle dropping out earlier this year, the 25th James Bond movie is set to begin filming in early 2019.

It’s been reported today that Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter) will be back as M.

He’ll be joined at MI6 by Ben Whishaw (A Very English Scandal) as Q and Naomie Harris (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) as Miss Moneypenny.

More surprising is the news that French actress Lea Seydoux (The Grand Budapest Hotel) will reprise the role of Madeleine Swann.

Seydoux’s character was introduced in 2015’s Spectre and was last seen driving off into the distance with Bond.

While the new adventure’s glamorous locations haven’t yet been announced, the mission is rumoured to take Bond to Croatia, Japan and New Zealand.

Bond 25, as it’s currently titled, is scheduled for release in cinemas on 14th February 2020.

The film is expected to be Daniel Craig’s swansong, with a number of British period drama stars in line to replace him.
