New on BritBox in the US: Beyond Paradise S2, Sister Boniface Mysteries S3, and more
BritBox has recently added more brilliant British television shows for American audiences.
Beyond Paradise S2
The streaming service has added the much-anticipated second season of Beyond Paradise, the spin-off of Death in Paradise that aired last year and was greeted with a wave of enthusiasm by drama fans across all channels and streamers.
Season 2 will see Humphrey kept on his toes, faced with a never-ending string of baffling crimes locally on top of threats from above to close the local station. Meanwhile, he and Martha consider expanding their own family life to become foster parents.
The good news is that the regular cast is back, lead by Kris Marshall (DI Humphrey Goodman), Sally Bretton (Martha Lloyd), Zahra Ahmadi (DS Esther Williams), Dylan Llewellyn (PC Kelby Hartford), Barbara Flynn (Anne Lloyd), and Felicity Montagu (Margo Martins).

Sister Boniface Mysteries S3
The streaming service has added the third season of the mystery detective period comedy-drama Sister Boniface Mysteries.
Our favourite vespa-driving crime-solving catholic nun returns for a third season.
This time around she finds herself embroiled in a number of situations that call for her intervention. Stranded on a train in freezing winter conditions, a precious jewel is stolen from the safe. Meanwhile, elsewhere on the train, a passenger is found murdered, a grave situation that will put Sister Boniface’s sleuthing skills to the test as she has to deduce which of the passengers is behind the murder. In another episode, a famous organist is murdered while performing in the chapel. This season will also see personal challenges for Felix when his fiance Victoria turns up from Bermuda and gives him an ultimatum.
The guest cast includes Rupert Vansittart (Game of Thrones, Gentleman Jack), Siobhan Redmond (Queens of Mystery) and Timothy West (Last Tango in Halifax, Gentleman Jack).

Other highlights include 80s comedy-drama Lovejoy, and the 2011 mystery drama series Hidden.
Lovejoy S1 and S2
Lovejoy ran for six years in the 1980s and starred Ian McShane (Poldark) as the eponymous Lovejoy, a roguish but likeable antiques dealer who tends to get involved in dodgy ‘get rich quick’ schemes and has a talent for solving mysteries. The show also stars Phyllis Logan (Downton Abbey) as the lovely Lady Jane Felsham, a flirtatious aristocrat who sometimes lends a helping hand to Lovejoy.
Hidden (2011)
Britbox has also added the 2011 series Hidden, starring veteran British TV actor Philip Glenister (Ashes to Ashes, Belgravia), Anna Chancellor (Four Weddings and a Funeral), David Suchet (Poirot) and Adrian Scarborough (Sandition). Hidden tells the story of a struggling lawyer who is hired to locate a missing witness for a court case, but finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy connected to the death of his brother and implicates members of the British political establishment. This is a slow-burning drama that is sure to reel you in.
