Lesley Manville is back as editor-turned-detective Susan Ryeland this September in Marble Hall Murders, the final instalment of Anthony Horowitz’s murder mystery series.
This is the third series after Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders, which were both met with praise by critics and viewers alike. The six-part drama brings Susan back into the very strange world where fictional murders have an unsettling habit of providing clues to real ones.

What is Marble Hall Murders about?
Susan is hired to help young writer Eliot Crace, who has been commissioned to continue the bestselling Atticus Pünd novels created by the late Alan Conway.
But Eliot comes with a complicated family history. His grandmother, Miriam Crace, was an enormously successful children’s author who died years earlier, supposedly from natural causes but it soon becomes clear that life at the family home, Marble Hall, was far from happy.
Susan begins questioning what really happened to Miriam and whether Eliot, like Alan Conway before him, has concealed real people and events inside the plot of his novel.
The answers may lie in Eliot’s manuscript, Pünd’s Last Case.
The ‘story-within-the-story’ concept takes viewers to Corfu, where Atticus Pünd investigates the murder of Lady Margaret Chalfont and finds himself in the familiar world of secrets, suspects and poison.
As the two mysteries begin to overlap, Susan becomes embroiled in an increasingly dangerous investigation, but this time she becomes a suspect herself!
