Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is officially heading back to 19th-century Dublin, as Netflix has renewed his period drama House of Guinness for a second season.
The saga of the iconic Irish brewing family is set to go back into production in early 2027. According to Netflix, the upcoming episodes will see the Guinness family continue to wrestle with “ambition, intrigue, and forbidden love” as their commercial empire expands.
Fans can expect main cast to return, including Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, and Fionn O’Shea as the four Guinness siblings—Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Benjamin. James Norton is also slated to reprise his role as Sean Rafferty, the family’s formidable fixer.
Knight expressed his excitement about diving back into the historical dynasty, noting: “It was such a joy to bring the Guinness story to the screen, so I’m beyond thrilled to be continuing the story of one of the world’s greatest dynasties into season two.”
The showrunner hinted that the new season will force the siblings to grow up quickly as they face the fallout of their choices in the aftermath of their father’s death.
While Netflix hasn’t fixed a release date just yet due to the 2027 filming schedule, the complete first season is currently available for streaming.
“It was such a joy to bring the Guinness story to the screen, so I’m beyond thrilled to be continuing the story of one of the world’s greatest dynasties into season two.”
Knight added that he is looking forward to exploring the characters and their complicated relationships in greater depth as the Guinness empire expands.
He has also hinted that Season 2 will show how the siblings begin to change and “grow up” as the consequences of their decisions become clearer.
As production will not begin until early 2027, Netflix has yet to announce a release date for House of Guinness Season 2.
