Netflix is returning to one of the most famous stories in English literature, with a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s 1813 novel, Pride and Prejudice.
The six-part series arrives on Netflix on 3 December 2026, with Everything I Know About Love author Dolly Alderton as screenwriter and Heartstopper director Euros Lyn behind the camera.
Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden lead an impressive cast that also includes Olivia Colman, Rufus Sewell, Fiona Shaw and several familiar faces from British period drama.

The first preview gives us an early look at the new Bennet family, as well as Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden as Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy.
Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet
Emma Corrin plays Elizabeth “Lizzy” Bennet, the intelligent and independent-minded second Bennet daughter.
Corrin is no stranger to period drama, having played Diana, Princess of Wales in The Crown and Lady Chatterley in Netflix’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover. They also appeared in Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu.
Corrin is an executive producer on Pride and Prejudice, their first executive producer credit.
Jack Lowden as Mr Darcy
Scottish actor Jack Lowden plays the wealthy Fitzwilliam Darcy.
Lowden is best known as River Cartwright in Slow Horses, while his period drama credits include Mary Queen of Scots, Benediction and the BBC’s War & Peace.
Olivia Colman as Mrs Bennet
Oscar winner Olivia Colman plays Mrs Bennet, whose determination to find suitable husbands for her five daughters provides much of the novel’s comedy.
Colman previously played Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown and Queen Anne in The Favourite.
Rufus Sewell as Mr Bennet
Rufus Sewell plays the sardonic Mr Bennet.
His many period productions include Victoria, The Pillars of the Earth and The Man in the High Castle. More recently, he played Prince Andrew in Netflix’s Scoop.
Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet
Freya Mavor plays Jane, the eldest Bennet sister and the object of Mr Bingley’s affections.
Mavor’s previous credits include Industry, The White Queen and The Lady in the Car with Glasses and a Gun.
Daryl McCormack as Mr Bingley
Irish actor Daryl McCormack plays Charles Bingley, the wealthy young gentleman whose arrival in Hertfordshire sets Austen’s story in motion.
McCormack appeared in Peaky Blinders and starred opposite Emma Thompson in Good Luck to You, Leo Grande.
Louis Partridge as Mr Wickham
House of Guinness star Louis Partridge plays the handsome and charming George Wickham.
The British actor is also known for playing Tewkesbury opposite Millie Bobby Brown in Netflix’s Enola Holmes films.
Jamie Demetriou as Mr Collins
Jamie Demetriou takes on one of the novel’s great comic characters, the pompous clergyman Mr Collins.
Demetriou created and starred in the BAFTA-winning comedy Stath Lets Flats and also appeared in Barbie.
Rhea Norwood as Lydia Bennet
Heartstopper star Rhea Norwood plays Lydia, the youngest and most impulsive of the Bennet sisters.
Norwood is best known for playing Imogen Heaney in Netflix’s hugely successful Heartstopper.
Hollie Avery as Kitty Bennet
Fellow newcomer Hollie Avery makes her screen debut as Catherine “Kitty” Bennet, who is frequently found at Lydia’s side.
Hopey Parish as Mary Bennet
Hopey Parish makes her screen debut as Mary Bennet, the serious and studious middle Bennet sister.
Siena Kelly as Caroline Bingley
Siena Kelly plays Caroline Bingley, Charles Bingley’s sister and one of Elizabeth Bennet’s less enthusiastic acquaintances.
Kelly has previously appeared in Black Mirror and Domino Day.
Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourgh
Fiona Shaw takes on the formidable Lady Catherine de Bourgh, Mr Darcy’s aristocratic aunt.
Shaw’s extensive screen career includes Killing Eve, the Harry Potter films and Andor.
The Supporting Cast
Anjana Vasan and Sebastian Armesto play Mrs and Mr Gardiner, while Isabella Sermon plays Darcy’s younger sister, Georgiana.
Rosie Cavaliero appears as Lady Lucas, with Justin Edwards as Sir William Lucas. Saffron Coomber and James Dryden play Mrs and Mr Hurst, while James Northcote and Eloise Webb appear as Colonel and Harriet Forster.
With such a large ensemble of established stars and newcomers, Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice will introduce a new generation of Bennets, Darcys and Bingleys when the series arrives on 3 December 2026.
