Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones soar in ‘The Aeronauts’ trailer – watch!

The first trailer has been released for upcoming period drama movie The Aeronauts.

The film reunites The Theory of Everything stars Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne, five years after they appeared together in the Stephen Hawking biopic.

Directed by Tom Harper (Wild Rose) and written by Jack Thorne (Wonder), The Aeronauts is set in the mid-19th Century and is based on a crazy true story.

The official synopsis reads: “Set in 1862 and inspired by true events, The Aeronauts follows wealthy young widow Amelia Wren (Jones) and headstrong scientist James Glaisher (Redmayne), as they mount a balloon expedition to fly higher than anyone in history.

“This is a journey to the very edge of existence, where the air is thin and the chances of survival are slim. As their perilous ascent reveals their true selves, this unlikely pair discover things about each other – and themselves – that helps each of them find their place in the world they have left behind.”

Written by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and directed by Tom Harper (The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death), the cast also includes Tom Courtenay (Unforgotten), Anne Reid (Last Tango in Halifax), Rebecca Front (Poldark), Tim McInnery (Blackadder), Phoebe Fox (The Musketeers) and Himesh Patel (EastEnders).

The Aeronauts lands in UK cinemas on 6th November and in the US on 6th December.
