Rowan Atkinson’s Maigret returns for new mystery: ‘Maigret In Montmartre’

A fourth instalment of ITV’s Maigret will air this Christmas.

Adapted from the books by Georges Simenon, the series of feature-length TV movies stars Rowan Atkinson as legendary French fictional detective Jules Maigret.

‘Maigret In Montmartre’ will air in the UK at 8.30pm on Sunday 24 December on ITV.

The official synopsis reads: “Maigret investigates the random murders of a Countess and a Showgirl and discovers a dark secret that links their past lives at the Grand Hotel in Nice.”

Atkinson made his debut as Maigret in March 2016 with ‘Maigret Sets a Trap’. This was followed by ‘Maigret’s Dead Man’ last Christmas.

‘Maigret’s Night At The Crossroads’ aired earlier this year, guest starring Aiden McCardle (Mr Selfridge).
