‘The Crown’ Season 4: New trailer focuses on Thatcher and Charles & Diana
An extended trailer for the new season of The Crown has been released!
Netflix’s award-winning period drama series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is back later this month.
The 10 new episodes finished shooting just in time before the TV and movie industry halted nearly all filming due to the coronavirus pandemic this spring.
Olivia Colman (Broadchurch) and Tobias Menzies (Outlander) are reprising their roles as the Queen and Prince Philip, with Josh O’Connor (The Durrells) and Helena Bonham Carter (The King’s Speech) returning as Prince Charles and Princess Margaret.
New additions to the cast of The Crown include The X-Files star Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher, and Grantchester actress Emma Corrin as a young Princess Diana.

Season 4 will be available to watch exclusively on Netflix worldwide from Sunday 15th November.
The official synopsis reads: “As the 1970s are drawing to a close, Queen Elizabeth and her family find themselves preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession by securing an appropriate bride for Prince Charles, who is still unmarried at 30.
“While Charles’ romance with a young Lady Diana Spencer provides a much-needed fairytale to unite the British people, as the transformation from teenager to Princess of Wales takes place, it is anything but a fairytale for Diana.”
Netflix has already announced some of the new cast members for the fifth and sixth seasons of The Crown.
Imelda Staunton will be playing the show’s third and final Queen Elizabeth II, alongside Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana.
Season 5 won’t be arriving on Netflix until at least 2022, however.
The Crown is available to buy on DVD on Amazon.
