The success of these films has really put her on the map, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.

Netflix’s Sex Education has been one of the most popular shows it has ever produced, and Asa Butterfield landed the starring role. Now on its second series, the show is becoming more popular. Of course, this wasn’t Butterflied’s first time on-screen, and you might remember him from films such as The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Hugo. Asa also has big plans for the future and will take a lead role in the film, The Liar, which is based on a novel by Stephen Fry.

 

  1. Morfydd Clark

Morfydd Clark graced our screens in a few of the biggest hits from 2019, such as His Dark Materials and Crawl. She’s set to have an even more exciting year in 2020, having landed the lead role in a horror movie, Saint Maud, and will take on an essential part in the new Lord of the Rings series. She was also cast alongside Dev Patel in the early 2020 release, The Secret History of David Copperfield.

 

  1. Callum Turner

Turner charmed audiences across the country with his portrayal of Theseus Scamander in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. However, he’s also well known for his roles in Glue, War and Peace, and The Only Living Boy in New York. What’s coming up for him next? He’s landed two new exciting roles in an adaptation of Emma as well as a new TV series, The Capture.

Joshua Jackson’s wife is making a storm on our screens of late. Both an actress and model, she impressed in her film debut, Queen & Slim last year, and is now to star alongside Colin Farrell in a new film, After Yang, and another new release alongside Jamie Bell called Without Remorse.

Toby Regbo is best known for his roles in period dramas, starring in several impressive shows, including Glorious 39, Reign, The Last Kingdom, and Medici: Masters of Florence. He also played the role of the young Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. He’s also part of the cast of the Game of Thrones prequel, so it is certainly one to watch.

Alex Lawther impressed TV viewers up and down the nation with his roles as James in The End of the F***ing World, and also landed a role in a typically surreal Black Mirror episode “Shut Up and Dance”. He recently won the London Film Critics’ Circle Award for Young British Performer of the Year and has many new projects coming up – so expect to see much more of him on your screens in the future.

Jodie Comer had several tv performances under her belt before she became a household name with her portrayal of Oksana Astankova / Villanelle in Killing Eve. Now in its third series, this black comedy/drama/thriller is still going from strength to strength with the complex, brutal yet strangely likable Villanelle still keeping audiences glued to their screens throughout.

She’s won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress because of her role, and so it’s safe to say that the future is looking bright for her.

 

  1. Lashana Lynch

Lynch may be best known for her role as fighter pilot Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel, or perhaps you know her for her parts in popular TV series such as Death in Paradise or Silent Witness. However, that’s all about to change as she now takes on the epic and iconic role of 007 in the new Bond film, No Time to Die. The film’s release date has been pushed back to November 2020, but we can’t wait to see how Lynch handles taking on the mantle!

 

  1. Nikesh Patel

Nikesh Patel starred alongside Julie Walters in the brilliant period drama, Indian Summers. However, he has since found fame in Doctor Who, become the voice of a character in Midnight’s Children on Radio 4, and will be playing the part of Foaly in an adaptation of the Artemis Fowl novels.

Hero Fiennes-Tiffin made some significant waves after his role in After which started life as fan fiction of globally popular boyband, One Direction. Hero plays Harry Styles and shot to fame almost immediately, becoming the apple of many a teenage girl’s eyes! Hero was always destined for great things being the nephew of famous actors Ralph and Joseph Fiennes.

The sequel for After is currently in development, so expect to see Hero back on our screens soon.
