5 pics from the BBC’s new adaptation of ‘Howards End’
A set of new images has been released previewing the BBC’s upcoming Howards End mini-series.
Adapted from E.M. Forster’s classic novel by Oscar-nominated screenwriter and playwright Kenneth Lonergan (Manchester by the Sea, Gangs of New York), the four-part drama stars Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter), Matthew Macfadyen (Ripper Street) and comedian Tracey Ullman.
Howards End explores the changing landscape of social and class divisions in turn of the century England through the prism of three families: the intellectual and idealistic Schlegels, the wealthy Wilcoxes from the world of business, and the working class Basts.
Hayley Atwell will play Margaret Schlegel and Matthew Macfadyen will play Henry Wilcox, alongside Tracey Ullman as Aunt Juley Mund.
Howards End will air in 2018 on BBC One in the UK and on Starz in the US.
