Set tour video goes behind the scenes of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’
The new All Creatures Great and Small concludes this weekend in the US.
Based on author James Herriot’s much-loved collection of stories, the hit period drama series from the executive producer of Downton Abbey has been airing on Sunday nights on PBS.
While the Season 1 finale was broadcast last night, fans still have 2020’s Christmas special to look forward to this weekend.
All Creatures Great and Small chronicles the heartwarming and humorous adventures of a young country vet in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1930s.
The show was a huge hit for Channel 5 in the UK last autumn, becoming the channel’s highest rating launch for a drama commission ever.
A second season has already been commissioned and the cast will return to the Yorkshire Dales in England to begin filming very soon.
In the meantime, if you’re missing your All Creatures Great and Small fix, PBS has posted a wonderful behind the scenes look around the set with production designer Jacqueline Smith.

Season 2 is expected to premiere in the UK this autumn on Channel 5, and in the US on PBS in early 2022.
Channel 5’s Deputy Director of Programmes, Sebastian Cardwell previously commented: “With values of community spirit, solidarity and heart-felt compassion, these stories are important ones for us to tell, now more than ever. I’m delighted that we will be seeing more of James and his Darrowby family when they return to our screens soon.”
Main cast members Samuel West (Mr Selfridge), Callum Woodhouse (The Durrells), Anna Madeley (Patrick Melrose), Rachel Shenton (White Gold), and newcomer Nicholas Ralph will all be reprising their roles.
All Creatures Great and Small is available on DVD on Amazon.
