British TV subscription service BritBox has now launched in Canada
Canadian fans of British television can now subscribe to Britbox.
Created by the BBC and ITV, the digital video subscription service offers the largest collection of British TV shows in the U.S. and Canada, including iconic classic series along with brand new series and soaps available a day after they air in the UK.
Soumya Sriraman, President, BritBox North America, commented: “We know that Canadians have a deep affinity for British culture and the extraordinary television programs produced in the UK, so launching BritBox in Canada has always been at the top of our list. The fact that we can also, for the first time ever, premiere some of the most popular British programs and big special events such as Trooping the Colour as soon as 24 hours after their UK premiere is – hopefully – the cherry on the sundae.”
Rowan Atkinson’s period detective drama Maigret, long-running crime series Silent Witness and hit romantic drama Cold Feet will have their exclusive Canada SVOD premiere on Britbox.
Classic British TV series available on Britbox include Keeping Up Appearances, Poirot and Doctor Who.
BritBox is available now to Canadians for $8.99 per month, with a 7-day introductory free trial period, through web, iPhone, iPad, android phone & tablets, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku®.
