Has ‘All Creatures’ Tristan actor Callum Woodhouse quit Season 4?
It looks like Callum Woodhouse might not be in the new season of All Creatures Great Great and Small.
The former Durrells star has played Tristan Farnon in the first three seasons of Channel 5’s hit 1930s drama series.
A fourth season of All Creatures has just begun filming in Yorkshire, but the casting announcement for an upcoming movie hints that we might not be seeing Woodhouse in the new episodes!
Deadline reports that the 29-year-old English actor has been cast in a new mystery-horror film.
Titled One Of Us, it’s set to start shooting in Belfast, Northern Ireland next week.
It’s possible that Woodhouse will be rushing back and forth between Yorkshire and Belfast over the coming months to take part in both overlapping productions.
But the news does seem to suggest that either Tristan won’t be featuring heavily in the next season of All Creatures Great Great and Small, or the character has been recast.
Hopefully it’s the first possibility, which would make sense given how Season 3 ended.
Callum Woodhouse will be joined in One of Us by some familiar faces for period drama fans, including Charlotte Hope (The Spanish Princess) and Ian Beattie (Game Of Thrones).
Leading the cast of writer-director Stefan van de Graaff’s debut movie is the Emmy-winning young actor Kit Connor, who shot to fame last year in Netflix’s lovely teen romance series Heartstopper.
He’s previously appeared in War & Peace, Rocketman, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Grantchester, and His Dark Materials.
Also among the cast are Douglas Henshall (Shetland), Beccy Henderson (Derry Girls), and David Horovitch (House of the Dragon).
The plot of One of Us sees members of a family begin dying one by one at a funeral, while Connor’s character ‘Youngest’ searches for the stranger in their midst.
The fourth season of All Creatures Great and Small is expected to launch this autumn on Channel 5 in the UK, ahead of its US premiere next January on PBS.
A release date for One of Us hasn’t yet been announced.
