‘Downton Abbey’ movie: 2 new posters revealed and trailer is on the way!
Promotion for the upcoming Downton Abbey film is stepping up a gear.
Written by Downton creator Julian Fellowes, the movie finished filming last November and will feature (almost) the entire TV show’s main cast returning to their roles.
The official Downton Abbey Facebook page has just announced that a new trailer will debut online tomorrow!
Following the first teaser trailer in December, the movie’s full-length trailer premiered last month at CinemaCon, but fans outside of that event have been patiently waiting for a glimpse.
This beautiful artwork gives us our first look at Oscar nominee Imelda Staunton as Lady Bagshaw and Tuppence Middleton (The Lady Vanishes, The Imitation Game) as Lucy.
Staunton is best known as Dolores Jane Umbridge in the Harry Potter films and the 62-year-old actress is also married to Mr Carson actor Jim Carter in real life!
(We’re not sure why Anna and Daisy are both standing up ladders in the background.)
In addition to this shot of the cast, a brand new poster has also appeared online.
It was recently confirmed who’ll be playing King George V and Queen Mary in the movie.
The Tudors star Max Brown has a secret role in the film too.
The Downton Abbey movie will be released in UK cinemas on Friday 13th September and in US cinemas the following week on Friday 20th September.
Downton Abbey: The Complete Collection DVD box set is available on Amazon.
