Four ‘Downton Abbey’ stars reunite in new World War 2 movie – watch the trailer!

A new trailer has been released for the upcoming big screen adaptation of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.

Based on Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer’s 2008 historical novel, the movie’s cast includes four former stars of Downton Abbey – Jessica Brown Findlay (Lady Sybil), Lily James (Lady Rose), Matthew Goode (Henry Talbot) and Penelope Wilton (Isobel Crawley).

The cast also includes Michiel Huisman (Game of Thrones), Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd) and Tom Courtenay (Little Dorrit).

Lily James plays free-spirited writer Juliet Ashton, who forms a life-changing bond with the delightful and eccentric Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, when she decides to write about the book club they formed during the occupation of Guernsey in World War 2.

Directed by Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire director Mike Newell, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society will be released in UK cinemas on Friday 20 April.
