‘Grantchester’ return date confirmed: When does Season 4 start?
ITV has announced when the fourth season of Grantchester will begin in the UK.
Based on James Runcie’s novels, the 1950s period drama series is back with six new episodes this winter.
However, McMafia star James Norton will be departing the show as vicar Sidney Chambers early on in the season.
He’s being replaced by 27-year-old actor Tom Brittney, who’ll be familiar to fans of Call the Midwife and Outlander.
Clergyman Will Davenport will become DI Geordie Keating’s new crime-solving partner.
Season 4 will air at 9pm on Friday nights from 11th January on ITV.
Returning cast members will include Robson Green as Detective Geordie Keating, alongside Al Weaver, Tessa Peake-Jones and Kacey Ainsworth.
Season 4 will air in the USA later this year on Masterpiece on PBS.
The first three seasons of Grantchester are available on DVD on Amazon.
