‘Downton Abbey’ star joins Netflix’s new Christmas family musical movie
Hugh Bonneville will star in a new festive musical for Netflix next year.
The Downton Abbey star joins Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) in the film about a toymaker and a magical invention.
Jingle Jangle will be Netflix’s first live-action original musical, Deadline reports.
The story is set in “a cobblestone world come to life, with an embattled toymaker (Whitaker), his precocious granddaughter (Madalen Mills), and a magical invention, that if they can get it working in time for the holidays, could change their lives forever.”
Jingle Jangle will premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2020.
Hugh Bonneville will reprise his role as Robert Crawley in the upcoming Downton Abbey movie next month.
The 55-year-old actor is also playing Roald Dahl soon in a movie about the English children’s author’s life.
