Springwatch (available from 1st June 2022)

Springwatch is returning this June with a special season of nature programs which aim to keep the UK connected to native wildlife offering real comfort viewing, at a time of heightened uncertainty for the country.

 

The Barking Murders (available from 7th June 2022)

From the award-winning writing team, Jeff Pope (Isolation Stories, A Confession) and Neil McKay (The Suspicion of Mr. Whicher, The Moorside) this three-part drama sheds light on the crimes of Stephen Port (played by Emmy winner Stephne Merchant) who murdered four young gay men in London.

Titled Four Lives in the UK, the series focuses on the victims’ loved ones, who tirelessly fought to uncover the truth, and the investigation that finally brought a dangerous killer to justice.

The Barking Murders goes beneath the headlines to deliver a new perspective on the story, revealing missed opportunities by the police and looking at the devastating impact these crimes had on both the victims’ loved ones and on the wider gay community in London.

 

W1A – Seasons 1-3 (available from 10th June 2022)

After demonstrating their well-meaning ineptitude at the Olympic Deliverance Commission in Twenty Twelve, Ian Fletcher has now joined the British Broadcasting Corporation for BAFTA-winning W1A, a fictional satirical behind-the-scenes series based at the BBC’s London headquarters.

Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey) and Jessica Hynes (There She Goes) return to their roles alongside a new cast and David Tennant (There She Goes) as the narrator.

 

Redemption (available from 14th June 2022)

From the producers of hit series The Bay, this compelling new crime drama has a powerful story about family and second chances at its heart. DI Colette Cunningham (Paula Malcomson, Ray Donovan) is a plain-speaking, dedicated detective on Liverpool’s Serious Crime Squad.

She is an unflappable force of nature – until she takes an unexpected call from Dublin. A body has been found, and Colette is listed as next of kin. She takes the next ferry to Dublin to identify her daughter, Kate, who disappeared 20 years ago.

Consumed by grief, Colette resolves to stay in Ireland to work for the Garda, while also piecing together the truth about Kate’s death. If she did fail her daughter in life, Colette is determined to do right by her now – but is she prepared for what she finds?

 

Silk – Seasons 1-3 (available from 17th June 2022)

Grace – Season 2 (available from 21st June 2022)

Based on the bestselling Roy Grace series by Peter James and written by Russell Lewis (Endeavour), John Simm (Life on Mars) returns in this BritBox Original thriller as the troubled but unyielding DS Roy Grace who has given his life to the job.

Always walking a career tightrope, he uses his instincts and unorthodox methods to get results. Set months on from his last investigation, and with his team still reeling from the fallout, Roy must prove that a wealthy Brighton businessman has brutally murdered his wife.
