The Serpent (available from 1st July 2021)

From the makers of Endeavour and the creator of Ripper Street, the true crime drama was a massive hit for BBC One earlier this year.

Set in the 1970s and inspired by a phenomenal true story, The Serpent tells how Charles Sobrhaj, one of the most elusive criminals of the 20th century, was caught and brought to trial.

Alongside French actor Tahar Rahim (A Prophet) as Charles, Victoria star Jenna Coleman plays Sobhraj’s partner and frequent accomplice.

Dynasty Warriors (available from 1st July 2021)

Netflix’s live-action Dynasty Warriors movie is based on Koei Tecmo’s game.

The Yellow Turban Rebellion breaks out in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. With the help of his trusted right-hand men Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, militia leader Liu Pei successfully suppresses the revolt. The calculating warlord Dong Zhuo takes advantage of the situation and takes control of the court, stirring further unrest.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (available from 7th July 2021)

Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 movie visits Los Angeles in 1969, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognise anymore.

The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.

The Cook of Castamar – Season 1 (available from 9th July 2021)

Based on the novel by Fernando J. Múñez, The Cook of Castamar stars Michelle Jenner and Roberto Enríquez as Clara and Diego.

In 1720 Madrid, a talented cook catches the eye of a widowed duke just as he returns to aristocratic society.
