‘Peaky Blinders’ catch-up: All 30 episodes so far recapped in 14 minutes – watch!

The BBC has released the “ultimate recap” for Peaky Blinders fans ahead of the new season.

Telling the story of a crime family in Birmingham, England in the early 20th century, the hit period drama series began in 2013 and now hurtles towards its epic conclusion.

Yes, the upcoming sixth season will indeed be the show’s final run on television!

Fortunately it won’t be the last we see of Tommy Shelby and friends (and enemies), as it’s already been confirmed that a Peaky Blinders movie starts filming next year.

It’s certainly been a long wait for the return of Peaky Blinders.

After significant delays in 2020 caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the cast and crew were eventually able to begin shooting Season 6 in January 2021.

With the six brand new episodes now finally ready to air, over a year after filming began, it’s been over 30 months since the last season premiered way back in August 2019.

So you’ll be forgiven if you can’t quite remember what’s happened in the show previously.

Ahead of Season 6’s premiere this weekend, you can watch an official summary of the past five seasons.

The handy recap, narrated by Guz Khan, comes in at just under 14 minutes – although you could just watch all 30 episodes again between now and Sunday night!

Here goes:

Peaky Blinders is back at 9pm on Sunday 27th February on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK.

Season opener ‘Black Day’ sees Tommy embark on a trip to North America, where the end of Prohibition presents some new opportunities. However, danger looms in the form of an old enemy who is finally making his move.

All six episodes from the new season are expected to arrive internationally on Netflix in late spring, following the UK broadcast of Season 6’s finale.

John Shelby actor Joe Cole’s upcoming adaptation of The Ipcress File, based on the classic 1960s espionage novelbegins on ITV in March, so it’s a great time for Peaky fans right now.

Peaky Blinders is available on DVD on Amazon.
