‘Peaky Blinders’ trailer: First look at Season 5 – watch!
Peaky Blinders is back very soon and now have the first trailer for the new season.
The hit period drama series about a crime family in Birmingham, England in the 1920s launched on BBC Two in 2013 and a fifth season began filming in Manchester last October.
Following its huge ratings success, Peaky Blinders will move to BBC One when it returns this summer with six new episodes.

Returning to the cast in Season 5 are Cillian Murphy (Dunkirk), Helen McCrory (Harry Potter), Paul Anderson (The Revenant), Sophie Rundle (Bodyguard), Finn Cole (Animal Kingdom), Kate Phillips (The Crown), Natasha O’Keefe (Sherlock) and Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones).
New cast members will include The Hunger Games star Sam Claflin, Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, The Miniaturist), Brian Gleeson (Phantom Thread), Neil Maskell (Humans), Kate Dickie (The Cry), Cosmo Jarvis (Lady Macbeth) and Emmett J Scanlan (Safe).
The official synopsis for Season 5 reveals: “Opportunity and misfortune are everywhere. When Tommy Shelby MP (Cillian Murphy) is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realises that his response will affect not just his family’s future but that of the entire nation.”
Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has confirmed that he’s already started writing scripts for the show’s sixth season, which is expected to air in 2020.
The first four seasons of Peaky Blinders are available for UK viewers to watch right now on BBC iPlayer.
Season 5 will premiere internationally on Netflix later in 2019.
Director Otto Bathurst (Robin Hood), who directed the first three episodes of the series, gave fans an update on the long-rumoured Peaky Blinders movie project earlier this year.
