Fans of Poldark have another chance to return to the Cornish coast, as all five series of the hugely popular period drama will soon become available to stream for free on ITVX.
The BBC drama, starring Aidan Turner as Ross Poldark and Eleanor Tomlinson as Demelza, originally ran for five series between 2015 and 2019. Based on Winston Graham’s novels, it follows Ross as he returns to his home in Cornwall after years fighting in the American Revolutionary War and attempts to rebuild his life, estate and fortunes.
The story is set against the dramatic landscapes of 18th-century Cornwall. Poldark became one of the most popular British period dramas of recent years, with its romance, family rivalries, political intrigue and spectacular scenery winning a devoted following both at home in the UK and overseas.
The series was filmed extensively in Cornwall, with locations including Botallack Mine, Kynance Cove, Charlestown and the Lizard Peninsula helping to create the show’s distinctive look.

ITV has now announced that viewers will soon be able to watch all five series for free on ITVX, making it an ideal opportunity for newcomers to discover the drama or for long-time fans to revisit Ross and Demelza’s story from the beginning.
Poldark will be available to stream for free on ITVX starting Thursday, 10 September 2026.
