‘Poldark’ star admits THAT shirtless scything scene was his idea – watch!

The cast of Poldark have been reminiscing about the show’s most iconic moment.

Way back when the first season aired in 2015, star Aidan Turner sent viewers into a right old flutter with the now-famous shirtless scything scene.

Looking back as the hit period drama series comes to an end, Turner has now admitted that he was responsible for the scene.

The Irish actor told Masterpiece on PBS in a new video: “It was a really hot day, it was sweltering. It probably was my idea, definitely, to get my shirt off!”

However, co-star Eleanor Tomlinson, who plays Demelza, thinks that all the fuss about the scene did “overshadow parts of the series.”

Season 5 premieres in the US on 29th September at 9/8c on Masterpiece on PBS, airing on Sunday nights alongside the final season of The Durrells in Corfu.
