‘The Durrells’ star is uncanny as young Prince Charles in new ‘The Crown’ trailer

Netflix has released a full trailer for the upcoming third season of The Crown.

The award-winning period drama series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is finally back next month.

Season 3 will see the entire cast being replaced by older actors as The Crown moves further into the second half of the 20th Century.

The Favourite star Olivia Colman is taking over the role of Elizabeth from Claire Foy, who played the Queen in the first two seasons.

Following a recent teaser clip introducing Colman, this new exciting two-minute preview features the first look at Josh O’Connor (Larry in The Durrells) as Prince Charles, alongside Tobias Menzies (Outlander) as Prince Philip and Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter) as Princess Margaret.

They’ll be joined by Emerald Fennell (Patsy in Call the Midwife) as Charles’ future wife Camilla, Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as Lord Louis Mountbatten, and Jason Watkins (A Very English Scandal) as Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
