‘The Durrells’ preview: Season 4 story hints and 10 brand new pics

ITV has unveiled a set of promotional photos for the final season of The Durrells.

Based upon Gerald Durrell’s classic trilogy of Corfu memoirs, the 1930s family period drama is coming to an end this spring with its last ever episodes.

Season 4 begins this Sunday at 8pm on ITV.

Following the events of Season’s finale, the future is looking bright for the Durrells, with all of the family channelling their heartbreak in different ways.

Choosing to keep herself busy, Louisa (Keeley Hawes) has opened the doors of the family villa as a guest house, but with Basil as their only paying guest, the business is still to find its feet and customers.

Meanwhile, Larry (Josh O’Connor), struggling to get his risqué Black Book published, is enjoying the love of two ballet dancers.

Heartbroken Leslie (Callum Woodhouse) has thrown himself back into his job and shooting.

True to form, Gerry (Milo Parker) continues to collect animals, ambitiously planning to open a zoo with a new owl and some lemurs joining the menagerie.

Margo (Daisy Waterstone) is seeking a new challenge, and decides to start her own beauty salon.

An official The Durrells cook book, featuring the real Louisa Durrell’s original recipes, has just been published.

Season 4 will in the USA this autumn on Masterpiece on PBS.

The Durrells is available on DVD on Amazon.
