‘The Larkins’ Season 2 Episode 6 recap: What happened in ‘Vengeance’?
The Larkins is back for a second season!
ITV’s hit comedy-drama is based on the novels by H.E. Bates, with scripts by The Durrells creator Simon Nye.
The books were previously adapted as The Darling Buds of May, which ran for three seasons in the early 1990s.
The Larkins follows the golden-hearted wheeler dealer Pop Larkin and his wife Ma, together with their six children, including the beautiful Mariette, as they bask in their idyllic and beautiful patch of paradise in Kent in the late 1950’s.
Starring Bradley Walsh (Doctor Who, Law & Order: UK) and Joanna Scanlan (Notes on a Scandal) as Pop and Ma, the show launched last autumn.

Here’s a plot recap for the sixth and final episode of Season 2, ‘Vengeance’, which premiered on ITV at 8pm on Sunday 27th November 2022:
Norma confesses to Ma that Pop was set up by the Jerebohms who blackmailed the magistrate Sprague.
Ma organises her own sting operation against Pinkie, helped by PC Harness who is desperate to make amends with Pauline.
It’s comeuppance time for the Vicar, Alec Norman and the Jerebohms. The Dean tells the Vicar his young Reverend is replacing him.
Rev Candy agonises to Primrose: should he do the decent thing and leave so the vicar can stay?
Primrose says of course you shouldn’t, prompting the Vicar to barricade himself in the vicarage, until Primrose finds a solution.
The Larkins is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
