‘The Madame Blanc Mysteries’ Season 3 confirmed for 2024

Channel 5 has today revealed if The Madame Blanc Mysteries will be back for another season…

And it’s good news for fans of the cosy crime drama!

The Madame Blanc Mysteries launched in October 2021 and became a huge hit for Channel 5 and Acorn TV.

The series returned for a second season in January, and it’s now been officially announced that a third season has been commissioned.

Season 2 averaged a strong 2.1 million viewers for Channel 5 in the UK earlier this year, with 10% share of the audience.

The show follows renowned and respected antiques dealer, Jean White – played by series creator Sally Lindsay (Cold Call, Mount Pleasant) – as she uses her expertise in the world of antiquities to solve murders and mysteries against the backdrop of the beautiful French village of Sainte Victoire.

If you’ve never seen The Madame Blanc Mysteries, the first two seasons are streaming on Acorn TV and you can sign up for a free 7-day trial here!

“We are absolutely thrilled to be returning to the sunshine and giving you another mystery packed series of Madame Blanc,” said star Sally Lindsay.

“I am truly humbled by the love for our show and can’t wait to give you lots more adventures,” she added. “See you in St. Victoire!”

When’s the Season 3 release date?

Filming has already begun on seven new 60-minute episodes.

Another festive special will arrive during Christmas 2023 on Channel 5 and Acorn TV, with the six-part third season premiering in early 2024.

Who’s back in the cast?

Sally Lindsay will reprise her as Jean White, alongside Sue Vincent (Shameless) as Gloria Beaushaw, Steve Edge (Starlings) as local taxi-driver and sidekick Dom Hayes.

Robin Askwith (Benidorm) and Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) return as eccentric married couple and manor owners Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James, with Alex Gaumond (Derry Girls) also back as Chief of Police André Caron.

Blackadder star Tony Robinson is returning too as Dom’s light-fingered Uncle Patrick.

Executive producer Paul Testar commented: “Audiences have opened their hearts to the world of Sainte Victoire in Series 1 and 2 with its wonderful characters and bafflingly high murder rate.”

“I can’t wait to see what Sally and Sue come up with for the third series,” he said.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries is available to watch on Acorn TV with a free 7-day trial.
