Watch a behind the scenes look at the ‘Outlander’ cast filming Season 5

With filming underway in Scotland, we have our first look at the next season of Outlander.

Production began in Scotland earlier this year.

Based on the fifth book in author Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series, The Fiery Cross, Season 5 will comprise of twelve episodes.

Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan are back as Claire and Jamie, and the pair have given fans a little taster of what to expect when the show returns in this official behind the scenes video:

Caitriona Balfe hinted: “Fraser’s Ridge is going to continue to be a big part of our story this season.”

Sam Heughan added: “Themes of home and family are still very central.”

Richard Rankin, who plays Roger, also teased: “…and, of course, the Fraser clan is getting bigger!”

Season 5 is expected to premiere in early 2020 on Starz in the USA and on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.

The latest season of Outlander concluded in January, with another two seasons already confirmed.
