Watch a festive clip from this year’s ‘Call the Midwife’ Christmas special

The first clip from this year’s Christmas episode of Call the Midwife has been released.

The clip aired as part of the BBC’s annual Children in Need charity fundraiser last month.

Call the Midwife returns for a Holiday special on Monday 25 December on BBC One in the UK. It will air in the US on PBS at a later date.

The new feature-length episode sees large snowfall cover the country and the adverse weather causes major disruption across Poplar as roads become blocked and pipes freeze – a far cry from last year’s festive visit to South Africa!

The new eight-part season of Call the Midwife will begin in the UK on BBC One in January and in the US on PBS in the spring.
