Here’s where you can watch ‘Beecham House’ in the USA
American fans will be able to see Beecham House later this year.
Set on the cusp of the 19th century in India, ITV’s epic new period drama is airing in the UK this summer.
Beecham House is based in Delhi, before the British ruled the region, and follows the residents of the titular house, an imposing mansion surrounded by acres of exotic woods and pristine lawns.
The six-part series is created by the writer and director of Bend It Like Beckham, Gurinder Chadha.
It’s now been confirmed that a deal has been made to launch Beecham House in the USA on Masterpiece on PBS.
Lisa Honig, EVP Distribution North America, International, Fremantle, commented: “Gurinder Chadha really delivers on this epic family saga. It has everything: gorgeous locations, exquisite costumes, rich diverse characters and a compelling script.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with PBS to bring Beecham House to the widest possible audience in the US.”
Beecham House stars Tom Bateman (Vanity Fair) as enigmatic, soulful John Beecham, a handsome former soldier who has purchased the magnificent mansion, Beecham House, to begin a new life with his family.
The cast of period drama favourites also includes Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey), Gregory Fitoussi (Mr. Selfridge), Adil Ray (Citizen Khan), Pallavi Sharda (Lion), Dakota Blue Richards (Endeavour), Leo Suter (Victoria), Bessie Carter (Howard’s End), Viveik Kalra (Blinded By The Light) and Marc Warren (Hustle).
Lesley Nicol will reprise the role of Mrs Patmore in the Downton Abbey movie later this year.
