Watch the cast of ‘Victoria’ each describe Season 2 in three words

PBS has released a new sneak peek at the upcoming second season of Victoria.

Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) and Tom Hughes (The Game) will return to US screens as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert early next year.

Season 2 picks up one month after Season 1’s finale in 1840 and establishes Victoria as a working mother, learning to balance her responsibilities as both parent and Queen. However, Prince Albert is still struggling to find a role for himself alongside his powerful wife as she returns to her duties, intent on proving that she can be both a mother and dedicated Queen.

Victoria launched in the UK in August 2016 and premiered in the US earlier this year. Season 1 is available now on DVD.

Season 2 begins in the UK this weekend at 9.05pm on Sunday 27 August on ITV and will premiere in the US on Sunday 14 January 2018 on Masterpiece on PBS.
