When does BBC’s new ‘Les Misérables’ start on Masterpiece on PBS in the USA?
PBS has announced when Les Misérables will begin in the USA.
Based on Victor Hugo’s classic 1862 novel, the new six-part mini-series is currently airing in the UK on BBC One.
The all-star cast includes Dominic West (The Affair, The Hour) as Jean Valjean, David Oyelowo (Selma, Spooks) as Javert and Lily Collins (Tolkien) as Fantine.
They’re joined by The Durrells actor Josh O’Connor as Marius and Olivia Colman (The Crown) as Madame Thénardier.
It’s now been officially confirmed that Les Misérables will premiere at 9/8c on Sunday 14th April 2019 on Masterpiece on PBS, airing on Sunday nights through to the end of May.

The BBC revealed last year that the epic new drama will “go back to the original novel and delve deep into the many layers of Hugo’s story, revelling in Jean Valjean and Javert’s cat-and-mouse relationship, against the epic backdrop of France at a time of civil unrest.”
Les Miserables is available on DVD on Amazon.
