When does ‘Beecham House’ start on PBS in the US?
Beecham House will finally be shown in the US this summer!
Created by the writer and director of Bend It Like Beckham, ITV’s India-set series launched in the UK back in June 2019.
The all-star cast includes many familiar faces from British period dramas.
Among them are Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey), Tom Bateman (Vanity Fair), Dakota Blue Richards (Endeavour), Leo Suter (Victoria), Gregory Fitoussi (Mr Selfridge) and Bessie Carter (Les Miserables).
Set in Delhi on the cusp of the 19th century, before the British ruled the region, Beecham House follows the residents of the titular house, an imposing mansion surrounded by acres of exotic woods and pristine lawns.
All six episodes were previously made available for PBS Passport subscribers in March.
PBS has now confirmed that the series will air on Masterpiece at 10pm ET from Sunday 14th June, running weekly until Sunday 19th July.
If you can’t wait until then, the whole series is already on Amazon Prime, where you can watch it FREE with a 7-day PBS Masterpiece trial!
Beecham House received mostly positive reviews when it aired in the UK last year.
However, ITV announced in December that they’re not renewing the show for a second season.
As with the much-loved Sanditon, there is a chance that more episodes could be made if American viewing figures are strong enough.
Beecham House is available on DVD on Amazon.
