When is ‘The ABC Murders’ available to watch in the USA?
The BBC’s recent adaptation of The ABC Murders will debut in the USA next month.
Based on crime writer Agatha Christie’s 1936 novel, the mini-series aired in the UK on BBC One over Christmas and received mostly positive reviews.
The new murder mystery drama introduces John Malkovich (Of Mice & Men, In the Line of Fire) as the latest TV incarnation of Hercule Poirot, taking over from the iconic David Suchet.
All three episodes of The ABC Murders will be available for American viewers on Amazon Prime from Friday 1st February.

The cast of The ABC Murders also includes Rupert Grint (Harry Potter) as Inspector Crome, Andrew Buchan (Garrow’s Law) as Franklin Clarke, Eamon Farren (Twin Peaks) as Cust, Tara Fitzgerald (Game of Thrones) as Lady Hermione Clarke, Bronwyn James (Harlots) as Megan, and Freya Mavor (The Sense of an Ending) as Thora Grey.
Writer Sarah Phelps previously teased: “Set in the seething, suspicious early 1930s, The ABC Murders is a brutal story of violence and lies, the long shadow of the past and the slaughter to come. At its centre, one of the most familiar, famous characters in crime fiction. We may all think we know Poirot but do we really know Hercule?”
The official synopsis reads: “1933. Hercule Poirot, older and greyer, receives letters threatening murder. The sender signs themselves only as “A.B.C.”
“When he takes the letters to the police looking for help, Hercule finds all his old friends have moved on. But soon there is a murder and the once-great detective must take matters into his own hands.”
