When will PBS show the BBC’s new ‘Little Women’ mini-series in the US?
PBS has announced when Little Women will air in America.
American author Louisa May Alcott’s classic 1868 novel has been adapted for television by Call the Midwife creator Heidi Thomas.
From the makers of Wolf Hall and the executive producer of Downton Abbey, the new three-part mini-series recently aired over Christmas in the UK.
It’s now been confirmed that Little Women will premiere on Masterpiece on PBS on Sunday May 13.

The all-star cast includes Emily Watson (The Theory of Everything) as Marmee, Dame Angela Lansbury (Murder She Wrote) as Aunt March, Michael Gambon (Harry Potter) as their neighbour Mr. Laurence and Jonah Hauer-King as Laurie Laurence, alongside Maya Hawke, Willa Fitzgerald, Annes Elwy and Kathryn Newton as the iconic March sisters.

The official synopsis reads: “Loved by generations of women worldwide, Little Women is a truly universal coming of age story. Set against the backdrop of the Civil War, the story follows sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March on their journey from childhood to adulthood.
“With the help of their mother, Marmee, and while their father is away at war, the girls navigate what it means to be a young woman: from sibling rivalry and first love, to loss and marriage.”
