Will there be a third season of ‘Victoria’?

Christmas has come early for Victoria fans, with some brilliant news from ITV.

It’s been officially confirmed that the hit period drama will return for a third season next year.

Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) and Tom Hughes (The Game) will both be reprising their roles as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

ITV’s Head of Drama, Polly Hill commented: “We’re delighted that the nation has taken Victoria to its heart.”

She added: “Filled with romance, political crises and family drama, Daisy Goodwin’s scripts bring this fascinating part of history to life so vividly and we look forward to regaling audiences with the next part of the illustrious Queen’s reign.”

Before that, Victoria is back with a two-hour festive episode special at 9pm on Monday 25 December on ITV.
