Yes, this really is ‘The Crown’ star Claire Foy in ‘The Girl in the Spider’s Web’ trailer – watch!

A brand new trailer has been released for this autumn’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo sequel.

Based on the 2015 novel, the upcoming movie adaptation of The Girl in the Spider’s Web stars Claire Foy, best known as Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown.

The English actress takes over the role of Lisbeth Salander from Rooney Mara and Noomi Rapace, who played the Swedish computer hacker in the 2011 movie and original Swedish mini-series respectively.

With a script by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, the movie was shot in Berlin and Stockholm earlier this year.

Director Fede Alvarez previously commented: “Claire is an incredible, rare talent who will inject a new and exciting life into Lisbeth. I can’t wait to bring this new story to a worldwide audience, with Claire Foy at its center.”
