Netflix UK’s new British movies and series for December 2023

Another month, another selection of new movies and TV series to watch on Netflix in the UK!

The complete list of additions for the 2023 festive period is as massive as ever, so here we’ve picked out the best titles for fans of British films and television to add to their watch list, as well as other historical dramas, period dramas, and classic movies we think you’d like.

This December we’re most looking forward to the second part of The Crown‘s final season, following the release of the first four episodes in November.

Then the makers of Wallace & Gromit return with Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, the long-awaited sequel to 2000’s Chicken Run.

John Boyega narrates a new historical documentary series, World War II: From the Frontlines, and fans of The Sopranos can check out the 1970s-set prequel The Many Saints of Newark.

Just before Christmas, Bradley Cooper plays composer Leonard Bernstein in his new movie Maestro, which is already building Oscar buzz, alongside English actress Carey Mulligan as Bernstein’s wife Felicia Montealegre.

Then the month closes with former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko’s historical epic Boudica.
