Based on the novel by Bernardine Evaristo, Mr Loverman tells the tale of Barrington Jedidiah Walker (Lennie James), an Antiguan-born Londoner, and his decades long relationship with his best friend, Morris (Ariyon Bakare). Both men are married with children, both are in the closet, and in reality are in a relationship with each other that dates back to their youth in Antigua.
