Following the successful ratings and critical acclaim for the fifth season, ITV has announced the commission of a sixth season of Endeavour.
Shaun Evans will return as DS Endeavour Morse, alongside co-star Roger Allam as mentor DI Fred Thursday.
The new stories will again be written by Russell Lewis, who has written all 23 episodes of Endeavour so far.
Season 6 will begin filming in and around Oxford later this year and will air in 2019.
Endeavour star Shaun Evans revealed last summer that he insists on only signing up for one season of the detective drama at a time.
Season 4 is available now on DVD.
Season 5 will air in the US later this year on Masterpiece on PBS.
