Tom Chambers
Tom Chambers was a BBC regular, and his more than successful participation on Strictly Come Dancing made him even more regular and famous. Tom Chambers is an actor best known for his roles on Waterloo Road, Casualty and Holby City. His appearance on the sixth series of SCD was his competition with Rachel Stevens and they won.
When he started on the show he showed great preferences to all things musical. This is no surprise since he attended the National Youth Music Theatre. What caught the attention of the casting directors was his recreation of a dance sequence from a 1937 film, A Damsel in Distress, and that’s how he got his first role in Holby City.
After his great performances in SCD Tom’s acting life looks more like his theatre beginnings and he starred in Crazy For You with Caroline Flack as well as a role of Jerry Travers in the Fred Astaire classic “Top Hat”.

After a while, Ricky Whittle went global for a while and in 2009 when he competed in Strictly Come Dancing he was best known for his role of Calvin from Hollyoaks. However, since then his career really took off and he went across the Atlantic and now is a rising star in Hollywood. It is not easy to draw a line between his ballroom dancing skills and his role in NCIS, Mistresses in the US and The 100, but his career really took off after Strictly Come Dancing. Currently his biggest role and one he is best known for is in the Amazon’s supernatural comic book series American Gods.
Bill Bailey
Even though the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing was in many ways different, due to the global pandemic, the routines were as spectacular as ever. The final was a close fight and the great comedian Bill Bailey was voted winner.

Joe McFadden
Joe McFadden is the second Holby City star that has won Strictly Come Dancing. He and Katya Jones danced their souls out and that has won them the trophy in 2017. Even though he was not a favorite from the beginning, he improved with each performance each week and eventually all that hard work brought him victory over Alexandra Burke, Gemma Atkinson and Debbie McGee in the live final.
