Peaky Blinders; the gripping story of a war hero, set in Birmingham, England, in the 1920s.
Tommy leads a group called Peaky Blinders, eager to move forward whatever the circumstances are. A crime story, a drama, a failure, and a survival. The series won the 2018 BAFTA Award for Best Series Drama. I could not wait for the next season after binge-watching five. I bet the show will leave you feeling the same.
TV shows from Birmingham were many things but cool until a fine evening in September 2014, when Stephen King Tweeted that he was watching a cool British series called Peaky Blinders. The show deserves every single bit of praise that it has received so far. The show found fans in names like Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Ed Sheeran, and Snoop Dogg. Here you enter the world of Tommy Shelby and his brothers, just back from the trenches and here to take on Birmingham’s streets.
Peaky Blinder’s Director Anthony Byrne took to Instagram and wrote a whole paragraph on why the shooting for season 6 of this drama was stalled before it even took off. Peaky Blinders was one among many other TV shows who faced sudden filming shut down owing to the lockdown followed by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The director and lead cast went LIVE on Instagram with an instant Q&A session with the fans to respond to all the rumors and discuss the future way forward with the fans a month ago on April 22, Wednesday. The production was midway when the lockdown was called and the show was meant to hit the screens later in June this year but as Cillian Murphy said in one of his messages; “We will be back as soon as we can, …., Causing chaos and knocking heads as usual”.
The traditional Peaky way. Owing to the fluid Global situation, the date when filming will restart hasn’t been announced yet, but we pray it happens soon so we can binge-watch it on Netflix over the high-speed internet acquired economically via the amazing Spectrum deals.

Bonus: Good News!
However, this article has been a lousy one in terms of the nature of news it held, however, I’d like to end on a brighter note. The Peaky Blinders’ very own game named “Peaky Blinders: Mastermind” is bound to come out later this summer on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and your PC.
The game looks promising and fun, it isn’t the GTA kind of a game but is going to be about planning a perfect heist and making your own ‘Soldier’s Minute”.
