Aidan Turner reveals how many more seasons of ‘Poldark’ he expects

Poldark star Aidan Turner thinks he knows how long the show has left before they “run out of things to do.”

The Cornwall-set period drama’s third season is currently airing on BBC One in the UK on Sunday nights and begins in the US on PBS this October.

A fourth season has already been commissioned, but the future of Poldark beyond 2018 is uncertain.

Discussing the matter with WWD, Aidan Turner revealed: “I think we run out of things to do after [Season 5]. I think that would be our last one.”

He added: “[Season 4] was green-lit, five hasn’t been yet, and it wouldn’t be fair of me to green light it, but it’s probably looking like it may happen.”

Turner begins filming his new movie The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot in the US this month.

The complete first and second seasons of Poldark are available on DVD now. Buy the box sets here.
