‘Beecham House’ preview: Behind the scenes of new PBS series set in 1790s India

PBS has released some exciting preview videos for Beecham House.

Created by the writer and director of Bend It Like Beckham, ITV’s period drama series set in India begins next month in the US.

Beecham House premiered in the UK last summer, starring the likes of Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey), Tom Bateman (Vanity Fair), Dakota Blue Richards (Endeavour), Leo Suter (Victoria), and Gregory Fitoussi (Mr Selfridge).

The series will begin on Masterpiece on PBS at 10pm ET on Sunday 14th June, airing weekly until mid-July.

If you can’t wait until then, the whole series is already on Amazon Prime, where you can watch it FREE with a 7-day PBS Masterpiece trial!

Find out what the series is about:

Set in Delhi on the cusp of the 19th century, before the British ruled the region, Beecham House follows the residents of the titular house, an imposing mansion surrounded by acres of exotic woods and pristine lawns.

Beecham House hasn’t been renewed for a second season, despite receiving mostly positive reviews when it aired in the UK last year.

However, as with Sanditon, a revival is still a possibility if it gets high enough viewing figures in America.

Beecham House is available on DVD on Amazon.
