Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey has taken on one of Gothic literature’s most iconic villains,  and is the voice of Count Dracula in a star-studded new audio adaptation of  the classic Bram Stoker novel.

Dracula was released on Audible on 1 October 2026. The new production reimagines the 1897 novel as an immersive psychological thriller, complete with a full cast, original music and atmospheric sound effects.

Bailey is supported by an impressive ensemble cast that includes Ella Purnell as Mina Murray, Aimee Lou Wood as Lucy Westenra, Louis Partridge as Jonathan Harker and David Jonsson as Dr Seward. Lesley Manville plays Mrs Westenra, Johnny Flynn voices Renfield, and Maggie Gyllenhaal takes on the traditionally male role of Professor Van Helsing.

The story centres on Mina as she investigates her fiancé’s disappearance in Transylvania, and eventually uncovers a terrifying threat that soon reaches England. As Dracula tightens his grip on those closest to her, Mina must use her wits and determination to confront the mysterious count.

Directed by Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary), adapted by Robyn Ahern and featuring an original score by Ilan Eshkeri, the production offers a fresh interpretation of Stoker’s Victorian horror masterpiece.
